My reason for writing this

A place for everything and everything in it's place.

That was what my mother once told me.  I looked to her as such a role model.  Quite a fascinating and hard working lady she was.  I don't know if you are interested in knowing, but she worked quite diligently her whole life.  Just like I have.

I look at all the reason in the world.  The success, the power, the strife, the challenges placed in front of us.  I know that there is a reason for it all, there's a reason we are here.  I can't help but admire your life, how you have succeeded where others have failed.  How you have overcome the challenges that others will continue to face.  It places you above the rest.  You, in the light of a champion that some will call you.

The love you have obtained from all those that encounter you.  You grab the attention that they would be able to share to all the others that walk by unnoticed.  The success that you have achieved, acquiring the positions that others now can't hold.  The happiness that you hold that shines so bright amongst those that struggle to find a reason to smile.  The life of the party, the center of the world.  It suits you so well, as if there is a greater reason for you to be the bearer of all these paths.  The power of this world, setting reason just off the sight that we can see.  There is a purpose, a reason for us to move on, to push through.  I can see your purpose, to success and achieve.

Whether if is admiration, or jealously, the two blend their vicious twine around my thoughts.  Yet I remember, as a child when I put my shoes in the closet and close the door as guests came through to see the house we had to sell.  The house we could no longer afford.  "Honey, put your shoes away.  There is a place for everything and everything in it's place."  I, just like you, am happy to know there is reason in our lives.  There's a reason that you become challenged for a success you will soon fine.  For my reason is to have a moment's hope until I become the lost you have championed.  I am the back you stand on to be above the crowd.  I notice all the attention that goes your way.  I see all the positions that I strive and lose out to the one that has a different place than mine.  I am the loser so you can be the winner.  A place for you and a place for me.  So as you see your reason, the way that the world gives you challenges to over come, know that I will follow my reason, I will stay in my place to keep the world balanced.

I always wondered what my shoes thought of me behind those closet doors as I shut the light out from them.
